How Foreign Loans Borrowed By Buhari Govt Will Be Spent – Fashola Reveals

The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, has stated the Federal government’s borrowing would be invested in the development of the nation’s infrastructure.

Fashola disclosed this at some point of his inspection tour of Highway tasks in Niger State and used to be contained in a statement signed and forwarded to us by using his Deputy Director Press, Stephen Kilebi.

He defined that borrowing invested on infrastructure would create jobs and help the u . s . gain self- sustaining economy.

The initiatives the Minister inspected were: the dualization of Suleja-Minna Phase I and segment II, the reconstruction of Bida-Lapai-Lambata road, the building of Agaie-Katcha-Barro road, dualization of Jebba-Mokwa-Bokani street and rehabilitation of New Bussa-Kaiama road.

Speaking at some point of the inspection, Fashola said, “A nation’s wealth is measured by using its infrastructure.

“The difficulty of Nigerians on government borrowing is legitimate, however borrowing must be weighed with the hassle they are used to solve.

“People need infrastructure if they can see that the money borrowed is used to supply essential infrastructure, then their queries can be assuaged.

“Each of the road tasks inspected has the ability to rent over a thousand workforce. This would assist the Federal Government’s power in developing jobs for its teaming unemployment youths.”
